  Scott Murray

From the Olympics to the US Open, the World Series to the World Cup, the Indianapolis 500 to 30 straight Super Bowls, Scott Murray has covered them all.  For close to a quarter of a century he was the Emmy Award-winning Sports Director and TV Anchor at NBC, Dallas/Ft. Worth.  Prior to that, Scott was based in Washington, D.C. with NBC television.  During his three decades of television sports, Scott was named Sportscaster of the Year 17 times by various news/media organizations such as the Associated Press, United Press International, Dallas Press Club, NATAS, among others.  He won back to back Emmy Awards for Best Sportscaster in 2000 and 2001 and was the recipient of the prestigious Silver Circle Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 2002.  

Although Scott retired from television news in 2003, Scott remains very active in the media world as a published author, Whatever It Takes (Life Lessons Learned through Sports Legends), a sought-after keynote and motivational speaker, television host and radio commentator/commercial spokesperson, and, as Chairman/CEO of his own communications company.  Murray Media (murraymedia.net) is a full service video/HD television production company that also provides clients with audio/visual production and staging presentations at corporate, community, and charitable events.  In addition, he’s a member of the board of directors of the USA Film Festival, Lone Star Film Festival and a longtime member of the Sigma Delta Chi Journalism Fraternity and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.  

Scott serves on the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee.  He’s a board member of The National Football Foundation/College Football Hall of Fame Gridiron Club.  He’s also a charter member of the SMU Athletic Forum Board and the Doak Walker National Running Back Award.  Scott is on the executive board of the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award and serves as chairman of the O’Brien Legends Award and Founder’s Award Committees.  He is on the selection committee of The Lott Trophy, the executive board of the Armed Forces Bowl and Board of Governors of the Dallas All Sports Association, Speedway Children’s Charities, FCA, Dallas Symphony and the AT&T Center for the Performing Arts Presidential Advisory Council.  Scott has also returned to NBC 5 to host 5 Talk Street, a monthly public affairs program.

Scott stays very active in the community as a volunteer, serving on the board or advisory board of many civic, charitable and non-profit organizations, including his own Scott Murray Foundation: “Lifting Spirits… Building Dreams…”  He was inducted into the Philanthropy World Hall of Fame in 1996; inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa Fraternity (The National Leadership Honor Society) in 1991; and, installed as an honorary member of the National Congress of Parents and Teachers in 1995.  Scott was inducted into the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame as an honorary member in 1992.  His commitment to community has resulted in his being honored on many occasions with such awards as Man of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Humanitarian of the Year, Director’s Award from the FBI and the US Department of Justice, Governor’s Award, George Washington Medal of Honor Freedom Award, Tom Landry Award of Excellence, United Way Hercules Award, Champion for Children Award, Boy Scouts of America God and Service Award, National Youth Leadership Council Gift of Leadership Award, Susan G. Komen Foundation National Individual Community Service Award, and, his two most cherished awards, Dad of the Year & Father of the Year.

 

Coach Kris Hogan

Aside from being on the administrative team Coach Hogan is also the Head Football coach at Grapevine Faith High School in Grapevine Texas.  He has a national certification in strength and conditioning and has served as a consultant for 9 years to multiple high schools in the area of athletic development.  Coach Hogan has coached teams to 8 State Championships and has been voted Coach of the Year six times at the District or Regional level.  Since his arrival at Faith in 2002, the Lions have won 9 State Championships in multiple sports.  He is the founder of the See Right mentoring program for men, frequently speaks at Churches, and is a performance consultant to a variety of businesses and corporations.
